LAX!

Last week my husband gave me a wonderful opportunity to escape the diapers, crying, bottles, and cleaning. Sunday the 11th I headed out to Los Angeles with my friend, Floor, who is a pilot for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. 


Floor had arranged a companion ticket for me, so I was just hoping to have an aisle seat in economy class. When I boarded the plane, I was ecstatic when the stewardess told me my seat was upstairs! As I settled into my large and roomy chair I was greeted with a glass of champagne and the menu for the trip. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, Floor came out of the cockpit and gave me a tour of the plane. Getting to see the cargo area and sit in the cockpit made my trip even more special!


During our three days in LA we went out on the town in Hollywood, got to see downtown LA, the Hollywood sign, Griffith Observatory, and the Santa Monica beach. 


We had a great trip and were lucky enough to get home just a couple hours before they closed the whole airport in Amsterdam because of the volcano!
